Astral Resources NL (ASX: AAR) has reported a significant upgrade in its consolidated Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE), reinforcing its position as an emerging gold producer in Western Australia. The total group resource now stands at approximately 62 million tonnes at 1.1g/t gold, equating to 2.07 million ounces, driven primarily by the Mandilla Gold Project, which alone accounts for 1.74 million ounces.
The updated estimate reflects a 22% increase in contained gold, supported by successful in-fill drilling and improved geological confidence, including the declaration of a maiden Measured Resource at the Theia deposit. Additionally, contributions from Feysville and Spargoville projects have further strengthened the overall resource base. Ongoing drilling programs and depth extension testing at Theia indicate continued upside potential. The advancement of the Definitive Feasibility Study and mine planning activities positions the company for potential production development, supported by favourable cost metrics and robust gold price assumptions.
