A2M receives US FDA approval to import infant milk formula products into the US

The a2 Milk Company (ASX: A2M) announced that US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has informed A2M that it has exercised its discretion to allow A2M to import infant milk formula products into the United States.

Following the start of IMF supply disturbance in the US, FDA Guidance was released regarding case-by-case consideration of enforcement discretion to be applied to businesses with the objective of increasing infant milk formula supplies.

On 26 May 2022, the Company applied to the US FDA under its enforcement discretion to supply infant milk formula to the US. However, on 10 August 2022, FDA deferred further consideration of the Company’s application for enforcement discretion. However, A2M continued to engage with the FDA to fulfil its requirements and to think again A2M’s application.

After all these, A2M today received confirmation from the FDA to import its import infant milk formula.
