Source: Kapitales Research

Highlights:

  • Silex Systems, Deep Yellow and Mesoblast emerged among the ASX's top gainers.
  • Strong sector sentiment supported gains in nuclear technology, uranium and biotechnology stocks.
  • Mesoblast's commercial update added momentum with record annual Ryoncil® revenue.

Investor interest spread across multiple sectors on Friday, with Silex Systems Limited, Deep Yellow Limited and Mesoblast Limited posting notable gains. Stocks in Focus

  • Silex Systems (ASX: SLX) gained 9.02% to close at AU$5.680
  • Deep Yellow (ASX: DYL) advanced 8.36% to AU$1.457
  • Mesoblast (ASX: MSB) rose 7.86% to AU$2.265

Nuclear-Themed Stocks Extend Their Momentum

Silex Systems and Deep Yellow benefited from continued investor optimism surrounding the nuclear energy sector. Although neither company released a market-sensitive announcement during the session, both stocks attracted buying interest as investors remained focused on the long-term outlook for nuclear power, uranium demand and energy security. The global push toward cleaner energy sources and increasing interest in reliable baseload power continue to support sentiment across uranium producers and nuclear technology companies. Investors are also closely monitoring project developments, commercial opportunities and broader policy support for nuclear energy worldwide.

Mesoblast Delivers Strong Commercial Update

Unlike the other two gainers, Mesoblast's rally followed a positive business update. The biotechnology company reported Ryoncil® net revenue of US$36 million for the quarter ended 30 June 2026, taking full-year revenue to US$115 million, exceeding its initial commercial expectations. The company said strong uptake across major U.S. paediatric centres continued to drive revenue growth and reinforced confidence in its commercial strategy. It also highlighted a strengthened capital position supported by revenue growth and a new five-year financing facility.

Investors Continue Chasing Growth Themes

Friday's gains reflected continued investor appetite for companies positioned within high-growth industries, including advanced nuclear technology, uranium and biotechnology. While Mesoblast's move was supported by a company-specific update, broader sector optimism helped lift Silex Systems and Deep Yellow, demonstrating that investors remain willing to back businesses with long-term structural growth potential.Note- All data presented is based on information available at the time of writing.Disclaimer for Kapitales ResearchThe materials provided by Kapitales Research, including articles, news, data, reports, opinions, images, charts, and videos ("Content"), are intended for personal, non-commercial use only.
