Prestal Holdings Limited (ASX: PTL) faced a difficult FY26 as weaker discretionary spending affected demand for its Hampers with Bite business. Sales revenue declined 30% to approximately AU$10.3 million, reflecting softer activity across corporate and online consumer channels. The company reported a net loss after tax from continuing operations of AU$3.59 million, improving from an AU$4.26 million loss in FY25.Management responded to weaker trading conditions by reducing inventory, controlling expenditure and improving production, warehouse and marketing efficiency. Changes to the distribution network also helped lower freight costs per hamper by 3.6% compared with the previous year.A significant strategic transition followed the financial year, with shareholders approving the sale of the Hampers With Bite business and the transaction completing in July 2026. PTL held AU$6.67 million in cash at 30 June 2026 and is now evaluating new opportunities aimed at generating long-term shareholder value.
