ABx Group Limited (ASX: ABX) has commenced a new rare earth exploration drilling campaign across its northern Tasmanian tenements. Initial drilling will target the Deep Leads–Rubble Mound resource, focusing on areas considered to contain higher-quality and potentially mineable ionic rare earth mineralisation. The broader Deep Leads–Rubble Mound and Wind Break resource totals 89 million tonnes grading 844 ppm total rare earth oxides, including strong concentrations of dysprosium and terbium.The campaign will later extend to less-explored areas within EL27/2022, EL28/2022 and newly acquired EL25/2022, assessing the wider scale and continuity of mineralisation across ABx’s portfolio.ABx will also deploy its proprietary rapid-testing technique to estimate ionic rare earth content during exploration. The technology provides immediate indications from in-house leach testing, enabling daily optimisation of drilling activities rather than waiting several weeks for conventional assay results.
