Viking Moves Forward with Linka Tungsten Project Development Plan
Viking Mines Limited (ASX: VKA) has taken a significant step in advancing its Linka Tungsten Project by outlining a conceptual processing framework developed with Mineral Technologies. The design builds on earlier metallurgical testing, which confirmed the potential to produce a high-grade tungsten concentrate through gravity-based methods. A key feature of the proposed system is its flexible and modular structure, allowing for future upgrades such as additional recovery stages without major redesign.
The study considers a notional processing capacity of 43 tonnes per hour to support technical evaluation. Initial work on equipment sizing is underway to help estimate capital requirements, while upcoming testwork will provide inputs for energy, water, and operating cost assumptions. The company is also reviewing equipment procurement options, including leasing, to optimise capital efficiency. Alongside engineering progress, Viking is continuing exploration, geological modelling, and drilling preparations to accelerate overall project development.
