NOVONIX selected for US$150 million grant from U.S. Department of Energy; Shares up on ASX

NOVONIX Limited (ASX: NVX) announced that its NOVONIX Anode Materials unit was chosen to enter talks to obtain US$150 million in grant funding from the U.S. Department of Energy to increase its domestic production of high-performance, synthetic graphite anode materials.

The award was announced by US President Joe Biden. The Company highlighted that this award will strengthen the North American battery supply chain amid rising demand and increasing calls to onshore these key industries.

At AEDT NVX shares are trading at AU$2.470, up 15.962% from its previous close.
