Nanoveu Strengthens Drone and AI Capabilities with Strategic Robotics Acquisition
Nanoveu Limited (ASX: NVU) has revealed plans to acquire Singapore-based Spinoff Robotics as part of its expansion into advanced drone and autonomous technology markets. The proposed acquisition is expected to enhance the company’s capabilities in aerial robotics, artificial intelligence, and drone engineering by integrating proprietary airframe and sensing technologies into its existing edge-AI platform.
The transaction will add two specialised technologies, ALICE and METRON, to Nanoveu’s portfolio. ALICE is a tethered drone system designed for persistent surveillance and operations in challenging environments, while METRON is a precision 3D measurement and anomaly-detection platform suited for infrastructure inspection and monitoring applications. These technologies have already been tested with several high-profile organisations in Singapore.
Nanoveu plans to focus on defence, airport monitoring, critical infrastructure security, and hazardous inspection sectors, where demand for intelligent drone systems continues to rise. The company believes the acquisition will strengthen its long-term growth strategy and position it competitively within the rapidly evolving global drone and edge-computing industry.
