Market Alert : S&P/ASX 200 Breaks Out to New Peak Backed by Earnings and Rare Earth Stocks

IEQ FY2025 Half-Year Results: 40.1% Reduction in Losses, Focus on Debt Reduction.

International Equities Corporation Limited (ASX: IEQ) reported a reduced net loss of AU$251,000, a 40.1% improvement compared to the AU$419,000 loss in the same period of the previous year. Revenue from continuing operations grew by 6.83% to AU$673,000, primarily driven by hotel and leasing activities. However, the revenue from discontinued tourism operations dropped significantly by 27.52% to AU$453,000. Property development and tourism remain the company's main business sectors, though challenges arose from unsuccessful lease renewal negotiations at Seasons Heritage Melbourne Serviced Apartments, leading to the cessation of operations in this segment. Despite these challenges, the company is focused on reducing its debt through asset sales and refinancing efforts, with a cash balance of AU$824,000 at the end of the period. The company's management remains confident in its ability to continue as a going concern based on current financial strategies and market conditions.
