HCD to Acquire Great Bear Copper–Gold–Silver–Uranium Project in Canada
Hydrocarbon Dynamics Limited (ASX: HCD) has entered into a conditional binding agreement with White Cliff Minerals Ltd (ASX: WCN) to acquire the Great Bear Copper–Gold–Silver–Uranium Project in Canada’s Northwest Territories.
The project spans more than 2,800 square kilometres in a region identified by the Northwest Territories Geoscience Office as having strong potential for iron ore, copper, gold, and uranium-style mineralisation. Historically, nearby mines produced significant volumes of uranium oxide, silver, and copper, alongside gold, lead, nickel, and cobalt credits, highlighting the district’s multi-commodity endowment.
Previous exploration across the tenure has included geological mapping, surface sampling, trenching, airborne and ground geophysics, and limited drilling. This work outlined more than 20 prospective surface targets associated with epithermal, skarn, and IOCG-style systems.
In 2024, WCN secured prospecting permits and mineral claims and undertook data compilation, validation of historical datasets, regional mapping, rock chip sampling, and a MobileMT geophysical survey. The acquisition provides HCD exposure to a large-scale, underexplored critical minerals district with established historical production and multiple identified targets.
