Genworth Mortgage Insurance reports ~68% drop in statutory NPAT

 

Genworth Mortgage Insurance Australia Limited (ASX: GMA) has released its 1H FY2022 results and reported a drop of 68.2% in its statutory NPAT to 18.9. It declared a fully franked dividend of 12 cents.

1H FY2022 Highlights:

  • Gross written premium decreased 34.9% to $188.6 million.
  • Net earned premium was up 26.7% to $216.5 million.
  • Insurance profit increased 11.2% to $79.5 million.
  • Underlying net profit after tax increased 75.8% to $134.3 million.

Other than the 1H FY2022, GMA announced on-market share buy-back for shares up to a maximum aggregate value of $100 million, starting August 2022.
