Fortescue Completes US$1500 Million Senior Notes Offering

On 07 April 2022, Fortescue Metals Group Ltd (ASX: FMG) announced the successful completion of the US$1,500 million offering of Senior Notes. The proceeds would be used as below:

• US$800 million will be applied to Eligible Green Projects.
• US$700 million will be used for general corporate purposes.

The use of proceeds from the Green Senior Notes will be applied to several decarbonisation initiatives. It includes 150MW solar generation component of the Pilbara Energy Connect Project, the acquisition of Williams Advanced Engineering and the hydrogen mobility project at Christmas Creek.

The proceeds would support in funding FMG’s major growth project, Iron Bridge, and remaining Pilbara Energy Connect Project.
