European Lithium Limited (ASX: EUR) has entered into a 50%-50% joint venture with Fabrica de Prelucrare a Concentratelor de Uraniu S.R.L. (FPCU), a Romanian state-owned company. This agreement covers the Tanbreez Rare Earth Element (REE) Project, with FPCU securing 50% offtake for future production. This partnership brings total offtake commitments for Tanbreez to 75%, ensuring supply security.
The joint venture provides a fully integrated mine-to-processing supply chain for REEs, vital for Europe’s growing green energy sector. The partnership aligns with European Lithium’s strategy to secure reliable long-term offtake agreements for its key projects, reinforcing its position as a critical supplier of rare earths. The deal enhances EU supply chain resilience and contributes to the region's green energy transition.
