EQR Launches Resource Expansion Drilling at Barruecopardo
EQ Resources Limited (ASX: EQR) has started a significant drilling campaign at its Barruecopardo tungsten operation in Spain, aimed at increasing resource potential and supporting future mine development. The first phase of the program consists of 36 drill holes spanning approximately 12,155 metres and is expected to continue for about eight months.
The exploration work will focus on areas beyond the current pit boundaries, targeting mineralisation extensions to the north, south, and at greater depths. Management believes these zones offer opportunities to add resources and enhance the long-term outlook of the operation.
The drilling initiative is also expected to provide valuable geological data, improve understanding of deeper mineralised areas, and assist with future mine planning and optimisation studies. With a budget of approximately AU$2.47 million, the program reflects the company’s commitment to maximising the value of its tungsten assets. Updated drilling results and a revised resource estimate are expected following the completion of the campaign and subsequent analysis.
