dorsaVi Expands U.S. Defense Research Collaboration to Improve Military Training Safety
dorsaVi Limited (ASX: DVL) has extended its collaboration with Georgia Southern University through a U.S. Department of Defense-supported research program aimed at lowering injury rates among military personnel during intensive training exercises. The initiative focuses on using dorsaVi’s wearable motion-analysis technology to monitor running mechanics and movement patterns in outdoor, load-bearing environments commonly associated with stress fractures and lower limb injuries.
The company’s advanced sensor system records key biomechanical indicators such as impact force, cadence, ground contact time, and foot strike behaviour in real time, allowing researchers to study how movement adjustments may reduce injury risk. The project also strengthens dorsaVi’s position in the defense technology sector, building on its previous involvement in military-focused data capture programs. Beyond training applications, the technology is expected to support future opportunities in exoskeletons, rehabilitation devices, and intelligent robotics. dorsaVi’s broader strategy combines wearable sensors with low-power neuromorphic computing to enable fast, adaptive decision-making in next-generation human-machine systems.
