Aldoro Strengthens Kameelburgs Global Standing with Major Resource Upgrade
Aldoro Resources Limited (ASX: ARN) has reported a substantial increase in the mineral resource at its Kameelburg Project in Namibia, reinforcing the project’s position as a globally significant critical minerals asset. The updated estimate now stands at 597.07 million tonnes grading 2.49% TREO Equivalent, reflecting a notable increase in resource size while maintaining stable grades. In addition, the company announced a maiden strontium resource of 596.01 million tonnes at 2.17% Sr, making Kameelburg one of the largest known strontium deposits globally and a strategically important asset outside dominant supply regions.
The high-grade portion of the deposit has also expanded considerably, supporting the potential for large-scale open-pit mining operations. Metallurgical studies delivered encouraging results, including almost complete strontium recovery under simple ambient-temperature processing conditions. Beyond rare earth elements and niobium, the project may also generate future value from strontium and magnetite-hosted iron mineralisation currently under evaluation. Situated in Namibia, the project benefits from strong infrastructure access, including highways, rail connectivity, power transmission, and proximity to the Port of Walvis Bay, enhancing its long-term development potential and strategic relevance to global critical mineral supply chains.
