Classic Minerals Maintains Gold Rights Amid Supreme Court Proceedings
Classic Minerals Limited (ASX: CLZ) confirmed that legal proceedings involving Hyden Project Holdings Pty Ltd will move to a full hearing after the Supreme Court of Western Australia declined to grant summary judgment. Despite the ongoing dispute, the company stated that its existing 80% gold rights over the Forrestania Gold Project tenements remain unaffected and continue to support ongoing exploration and mining activities.
The company clarified that Forrestania Resources’ proposed transaction relates only to the acquisition of shares in Hyden Project Holdings Pty Ltd and does not alter the underlying tenement ownership structure. Classic Minerals also noted that registered caveats remain in place to safeguard its interests throughout the legal process. Classic Minerals continues to pursue its claim for full ownership of the Forrestania tenements while advancing exploration, drilling, and development plans. The Forrestania Gold Project currently hosts mineral resources of approximately 6.95 million tonnes at 1.33 g/t gold for nearly 297,579 ounces. Management stated that the company remains confident about the court outcome and its long-term operational growth strategy.
