Blaze Minerals Limited (ASX: BLZ) has entered into a binding agreement to acquire up to a 90% interest in three exploration projects in Botswana, covering a combined landholding of approximately 4,951 square kilometres across granted prospecting licences and licence applications.
The projects are located within highly prospective mineral belts, including the Kalahari Copper Belt, Limpopo Mobile Belt, and Molopo Farms Complex, regions known for hosting significant base and precious metal deposits.
The Dinokwe Project includes granted licences and applications covering around 1,771 square kilometres within the Limpopo Mobile Belt, which hosts major copper-nickel deposits such as Selebi-Phikwe. The Kalahari Project comprises approximately 2,968 square kilometres of licence applications within and adjacent to the Kalahari Copper Belt, an emerging copper district that hosts large-scale deposits including the Khoemacau Copper Project. The Molopo Project spans about 212 square kilometres within the Molopo Farms Complex, considered prospective for nickel-copper and platinum group element mineralisation.
A review of regional geophysical data has identified 13 priority exploration targets and eight secondary targets, with field exploration activities expected to commence shortly.
