Autosports Group Expands Victorian Footprint with Strategic Dealership Acquisition
Autosports Group Limited (ASX: ASG) has revealed a significant growth initiative with its plan to purchase ten Barry Bourke Motors dealerships located across Victoria. Valued at approximately AU$34 million, the purchase includes key brands such as Audi, Volvo Cars, Jaguar Land Rover, Geely, GMSV, LDV, Peugeot, Renault and Suzuki, strengthening ASG’s presence in Berwick and Doncaster. The transaction comprises AU$29 million in goodwill and AU$5 million in net tangible assets, with part of the payment to be settled in ASG shares. The deal is anticipated to boost earnings from the outset and strengthen Autosports Group’s partnerships with major automotive brands. CEO Nick Pagent highlighted the strategic benefits, including improved margins within 12 months and stronger manufacturer collaboration. Completion is anticipated in December 2025, subject to standard regulatory and OEM approvals, reinforcing ASG’s position as a leading luxury and prestige automotive retailer in Australia.
