ACCC Scamwatch alert Optus Customers’ to watch for Scam post Optus Data Breach

ACCC Scamwatch has warned Optus customers to be on the look out for scams and take required steps to protect their personal details subsequent the cyber-attack.

A cyber-attack has resulted in the release of Optus customers’ personal data like customer name, date of birth, email,  driver’s licence , phone number,  passport number. Hence, ACCC has warned Optus customers to take instant steps to safeguard their account specifically bank and financial account. At the same time, ACCC has asked them to monitor any unusual activity on their account.
