49 Metals Unveils High-Grade Gold Discovery at gold Mountain
49 Metals Limited (ASX: 49M) has reported a significant gold discovery from reverse circulation drilling at its Gold Mountain Project in Nevada, USA. Drill hole DRC#9 intersected 27.4 metres at 8.3 g/t gold from 221.0 metres, including an outstanding high-grade section of 9.1 metres at 21.9 g/t gold. The hole also returned a separate mineralised interval of 25.9 metres at 1.4 g/t gold from 158.5 metres. Management believes the deeper high-grade zone may represent a feeder structure within a larger epithermal gold system, potentially indicating a pathway to more extensive mineralisation.
The 227 gram-metre intercept is the strongest result recorded at Gold Mountain to date and remains open in all directions. Importantly, the mineralisation occurs within oxidised rock, which may support favourable future development prospects. The discovery strengthens the project’s exploration potential, with additional drilling planned to test extensions of the high-grade zone. Results from multiple recently completed drill holes are yet to be received, while exploration activities continue across the project's key target areas.
