Viking Mines Advances Linka Tungsten Project with New Stockpile Discovery
Viking Mines Limited (ASX: VKA) has completed its second field mapping and sampling campaign at the Linka Tungsten Project in Nevada, uncovering additional mineralised stockpiles near the historic Conquest mine. The campaign collected 98 samples across the Linka, Conquest, and Hillside areas, with visible scheelite mineralisation identified under UV light in historical trenches and newly investigated stockpiles. The Company believes these surface-accessible materials could potentially provide supplementary feed for future project development, subject to assay confirmation.
Viking has also commenced ore-sorting testwork with TOMRA in Germany to evaluate the separation of mineralised and waste rock from the Linka stockpiles. If successful, the process may be directly applicable to the newly identified Conquest stockpiles. Geological mapping further confirmed alluvial cover and unmineralised tuff west of the Linka mineralised trend, supporting the planned scout drilling strategy. The maiden 63-hole drilling campaign remains on schedule for late June 2026, while assay results from recent campaigns are expected in June and July 2026.
