Sunshine Metals Limited Secures Grant to Advance Trooper Creek Drilling
Sunshine Metals Limited (ASX: SHN) has been awarded a government grant of AU$202,235 under Queensland’s Collaborative Exploration Initiative to fund a diamond drilling program at its Trooper Creek polymetallic target. The funding will support a single drill hole aimed at testing a compelling geophysical anomaly defined by coincident chargeability and conductivity signals, which may indicate subsurface sulphide mineralisation. The Trooper Creek prospect, located near Charters Towers, remains largely underexplored despite historical drilling intersecting gold mineralisation, including notable grades over short intervals. The anomaly aligns with surface geochemical indicators, strengthening the exploration case. The planned 650-metre drill hole, expected to commence in June 2026, represents a targeted step in evaluating volcanogenic massive sulphide potential within a proven mineralised corridor, while enabling the company to progress early-stage targets alongside its broader development strategy.
