This collaboration marks a significant milestone for Scout, as the water sensor kits will be deployed across multiple U.S. states, including California and Florida, to help policyholders mitigate water damage risks and secure premium discounts on their insurance policies.
The deal was facilitated through Scout’s acquisition of Roo Inc., showcasing the immediate synergies between the two companies. Scout will provide white-labeled water sensors, offering both hardware sales and recurring revenue from monthly monitoring and service fees.
