NH3 Clean Energy Progresses WAH2 Ammonia Project with Engineering Bids and Environmental Studies.
NH3 Clean Energy Limited (ASX: NH3) has announced important progress in the development of its WAH2 clean ammonia project in Western Australia. The company has received several Front End Engineering and Design (FEED) proposals from internationally recognized engineering firms experienced in ammonia plant development, including projects in the Pilbara region. These proposals are currently under evaluation as NH3 works toward selecting an engineering partner and finalising a commercial agreement for the project’s next phase.
Alongside the engineering process, the company has begun a detailed flora and vegetation survey covering its 40-hectare site in the Maitland Strategic Industrial Area. The survey forms part of the environmental approvals required for the project and follows an earlier fauna study completed in September 2025, which reported no issues expected to delay development. The WAH2 project is designed to produce low-emissions ammonia to support the Asia-Pacific region’s transition to cleaner energy and decarbonised shipping fuels.
