Kelsian Group received new Sydney bus services contract

Kelsian Group Limited (ASX: KLS) announced that it had entered into a binding contract through its subsidiary, Transit Systems NSW Pty Ltd with Transport for NSW to run bus services in southwestern Sydney in the bus service areas identified as Region 3 and Region 13, both of which will be combined into a new Region 3 contract area. The agreement is for the joint operation and maintenance of 359 buses, situated at 4 depots and will be operated by over 650 employees.

The further Region 13 bus services will add approx. 150 buses, 270 employees and two depots to the company’s previous bus public transport operations in Sydney. As per the new agreement, services are planned to begin from 06 August 2023 and run over to 30 November 2030. The new agreement secures more than AU$800 million in revenue over the contract term.
