RBA Governor Philip Lowe highlighted a significant increase in the inflation rate. He said that the inflation rate which was the mid-point of the 2% to 3% target range in February 2022 reached 6.1% by June 2022. He further expects the inflation rate to increase over the coming period at around 7.75% later in 2022. He also pointed out that the inflation would start declining back to 3% late in 2024.
