Frontier Energy Limited (ASX: FHE) has secured firm commitments to raise AU$110 million through a conditional placement, marking a significant milestone in the financing of Stage One of its Waroona Solar-Battery Project in Western Australia. The placement attracted strong support from tier-one institutional investors, professional investors and sophisticated investors, with Frontier’s directors collectively committing approximately AU$3.3 million, subject to shareholder approval. The capital raising represents a key step toward finalising Stage One funding and advancing the project toward construction. Importantly, the Company has completed several critical requirements for senior debt financing, including independent technical, legal and tax due diligence, while detailed term sheets received from shortlisted banks remain in line with expectations. Frontier expects to receive credit-approved debt commitments in July 2026, after which Stage One would be fully funded ahead of a final investment decision. The updated Stage One capital cost is approximately AU$326.9 million including contingency, reflecting an expanded 132MW solar facility and enhanced battery storage capacity, which are expected to improve energy generation, sales potential and overall project economics.
