Former Vitura CEO Begins Legal Proceedings Against Company
Vitura Health Limited (ASX: VIT) has revealed that its former Chief Executive Officer, Geoff Cockerill, has started legal proceedings against the company in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia. The dispute is linked to the end of his employment and related concerns following his departure in January 2026.
The company stated that Mr. Cockerill’s contract was concluded according to agreed employment terms and that all required payments and entitlements, including notice compensation, were fully provided. The lawsuit includes claims that Vitura may have breached protections outlined under Australia’s Fair Work Act 2009. Despite the allegations, Vitura maintains that its decisions and actions were lawful and consistent with both contractual responsibilities and shareholder expectations. The company further noted that it plans to handle the matter swiftly through the legal process while continuing to defend its position.
