Astral Resources: Strong Exploration Momentum at Mandilla and Spargoville
Astral Resources (ASX: AAR) continues to advance its gold portfolio through active drilling and strategic developments at the Mandilla and Spargoville projects. At Mandilla, diamond drilling at the Theia deposit is targeting extensions up to 200 metres below the current resource, with two holes already exceeding planned depths and intersecting quartz veining and visible gold up to 360 metres. Assay results are expected by June 2026. In parallel, ~5,000 metres of reverse circulation drilling have been completed as part of a broader 23,000-metre program supporting the Definitive Feasibility Study.
The company has also acquired the Mandilla Homestead for AU$850,000, located ~500 metres from the project, to streamline approvals.
At Spargoville’s 5B deposit, recent drilling returned strong grades including 9m at 4.38g/t Au and 4m at 8.31g/t Au, reinforcing mineralisation continuity. The deposit currently hosts 40kt at 4.2g/t Au for 5koz of gold, supporting future resource growth.
