Alara Resources Maintains Operational Momentum at Al Wash-hi Amid Legal Proceedings
Alara Resources Limited (ASX: AUQ) has confirmed that operations at the Al Wash-hi Majaza Copper–Gold Mine in Oman continue uninterrupted, despite the commencement of legal proceedings involving its joint venture operator, Al Hadeetha Resources LLC. The proceedings, initiated by local residents, seek to challenge project activities and licences; however, the claims are being formally disputed and are at an early stage. Importantly, there has been no change to the project’s operating status, with all licences and approvals remaining in place. Operational momentum was further demonstrated with the successful dispatch of the thirty second copper concentrate shipment from the mine. The shipment comprised approximately one thousand three hundred and seventy eight wet metric tonnes of concentrate, containing around two hundred and fifty two metric tonnes of copper and five point three kilograms of gold. The parcel departed Sohar Port in late December, reinforcing steady production and export continuity at the Al Wash-hi operation.
