Tyro (ASX: TYR) reports 37% uplift in FY22 revenue

On 29 August 2022, Tyro Payments Limited released its FY22 results for the period ended 30 June 2022. It noted a 10% uplift in merchant numbers, 34% in transaction value, 34% in revenue (up 37%), and 24% in normalised gross profit.

The other details from the company’s financial results announced today include:

• 63,770 merchants choosing Tyro as their payments solution – up 10% (FY21: 58,186). 
• AU$34.2 billion in transactions processed by Tyro Group merchants – up 34% (FY21: AU$25.5 billion). 
• Payments revenue of AU$318.8 million – up 39% (FY21: AU$229.2 million). 
• Payments statutory gross profit of AU$147.7 million – up 34% (FY21: AU$110.5 million).
• Group revenue increased 36.7% to AU$326.1 million in FY22.
• Group gross profit (statutory) rose 29.5% in FY22 to AU$154.7 million.

Following these results, in the early morning trading hours on Monday, the share price of Tyro was trading 5.249% lower at AU$0.947 per share on ASX.
