Trek Raises AU$15 million to Accelerate Drilling at High-Grade Kuro Manganese Discovery
Trek Metals Limited (ASX: TKM) has secured firm commitments to raise AU$15 million (before costs) through a placement priced at AU$0.15 per share, with demand exceeding the amount sought and scale-backs applied. The raising introduces prominent Australian institutional investors, including Terra Capital, as a cornerstone participant. Directors have committed AU$1.45 million, subject to shareholder approval.
Proceeds will fund an expanded exploration campaign at the Company’s 100%-owned Christmas Creek Project in Western Australia’s Kimberley region, following the recent high-grade Kuro manganese discovery. A major Reverse Circulation and diamond drilling program is scheduled to commence in April, targeting extensions beneath outcropping manganese mineralisation, where rock chip assays have returned grades of up to 60.1%. Drilling will also test priority gravity and geophysical anomalies interpreted as potential subsurface mineralised zones, positioning Trek for accelerated resource definition.
