Significant Sulphide Mineralisation Identified in First Deep Drillhole at Lennon’s Find
Orange Minerals NL (ASX: OMX) has reported encouraging progress from its ongoing diamond drilling program at the Lennon’s Find Project in Western Australia, confirming the visual interception of sulphide mineralisation at depth. The Company’s first deep diamond drill hole, OLFD001, was designed to test a strong induced polarisation anomaly interpreted as a potential feeder structure to the project’s established zinc-dominant system.
Drilling intersected approximately 25 metres of fresh rock containing semi-massive, banded and disseminated sulphides from around 510 metres downhole. Logged sulphide minerals include chalcopyrite, sphalerite and galena, alongside non-economic pyrite and pyrrhotite, supporting the polymetallic nature of the system. The diamond drill program reached a final depth of 615 metres, with the drilling partially supported through the Western Australian Government’s Exploration Incentive Scheme. Analytical results from laboratory testing are anticipated in the first quarter of 2026, to be complemented by planned downhole electromagnetic surveys aimed at detecting potential conductive zones beyond the current drill intercept. Outcomes from these programs will be used to refine geological interpretations, guide deeper targeting, and determine the scope and priority of any subsequent drilling and regional geophysical work along the broader Lennon’s Find mineralised corridor.
