Eagers Automotive (ASX: APE) announced 1HFY22 results; Interim dividend increased 10%

Eagers Automotive Limited (ASX: APE) announced its 1HFY22 results for the period ended 30 June 2022:

• In 1HFY22, the company reported a statutory profit after tax of AU$178.7 million, compared to AU$202.3 million in the previous corresponding period.
• It retained a strong financial position with a record available liquidity of AU$842.8 million and a net debt of AU$12.6 million at 30 June 2022.
• The company's board has approved the payment for a record ordinary interim fully franked dividend of 22.0 cps in 1HFY22, up 10% on 1H21, representing the board's confidence in the strength of the company's business and future strategy.
• It has also announced an on-market share buyback of up to 10% of issued share capital. This program indicates the board's focus on active capital management and is evidence of Eagers Automotive's strong balance sheet and record available liquidity.
• During 1HFY22, the company has continued to develop and roll out its technology platform designed to give an improved customer experience, with better productivity, efficiency, and the capability to drive sustainable growth.
