Cue Energy Resources Limited (ASX: CUE) announced that it has entered into a Gas Supply Agreement with Shell Energy Australia for 0.27 Petajoules (PJs) of gas supply for a period of one year, starting from 1 January 2025. Under the agreement, the company will deliver firm gas with take-or-pay provisions and a fixed price.
The gas will be supplied into the East Coast domestic market, with pricing as per the agreement indicating strong market conditions, and parties will also sign required gas transportation contracts as a situation precedent to the supply agreement to facilitate delivery of this gas. As per the gas supply agreement, the supplied gas will be combined with gas produced from the Mereenie Joint Venture, Central Petroleum, New Zealand Oil & Gas, and Cue to supply up to a total of 3.65 PJs to Shell Energy Australia for a one-year period, commercialising a part of present Mereenie uncontracted gas production for the year.
