Chairman and CEO of AGL Energy Limited are stepping down under structural re-organization

As per the media reports, Peter Botten, AGL Chairman and CEO Graeme Hunt, have decided to step down from their roles under management reshuffling. Peter Botten would be replaced by Patricia McKenzie who is currently chairman of NSW Ports and the Sydney Desalination Plant group companies. While Graeme Hunt will be replaced temporarily by CFO Damien Nicks from September 30. Meanwhile, Gary Brown, Finance and energy executive will be the interim CFO of the company. Former chairman of the Clean Energy Council, Miles George, will be joining the AGL board as an independent non-executive director. The company is in the process of shortlisting for the appointment of a new CEO.
