Baby Bunting Delivers Record Margin and Strengthened Sales Momentum in 1H FY26
Baby Bunting Group Limited (ASX: BBN), Australia’s largest specialty retailer for maternity and baby products, reported solid first-half FY26 performance, driven by disciplined execution and strategic investment. Total sales increased 6.7% to AU$271.4 million, supported by 4.7% comparable store growth and continued online expansion. Gross margin reached a record 41.0%, up 124 basis points, reflecting improved supplier terms and a higher contribution from private label and exclusive products.
Pro forma net profit after tax rose 4.1% to AU$5.0 million, while underlying earnings showed stronger growth after excluding refurbishment and network optimisation costs. The Store of the Future program delivered a 25% average sales uplift across refurbished locations, reinforcing its capital efficiency and supporting sub-three-year payback targets. With continued sales momentum into the second half and maintained full-year earnings guidance, Baby Bunting remains focused on network optimisation, margin expansion, and driving sustainable long-term EBITDA growth.
