ASX was under pressure on Tuesday, 15 February 2022, because of the Ukraine-Russia crisis. In the past 48 hours, there has been an increase in military activities around Ukraine’s border.
Drop in the Energy sector was also somewhat influenced by the fear surrounding rising tension between Russia and Ukraine. There is a fear that if Russia invades Ukraine, it might disrupt the flow of oil from Ukraine, the major oil producer. It could increase the oil prices significantly.
NASDAQ-100 showed a marginal growth of 0.10%.
