ASX/200 Closed Lower by 0.13%, Dragged down by Financial

By the end of the trading session on 24 September 2024, the benchmark index S&P/ASX 200 closed lower by 0.13% and settled at 8,142.00. Out of 11 sectors, 05 sectors ended lower along with the S&P/ASX 200.

Financial and Consumer Staples are the top- gaining sectors, gaining 1.79% and 1.64% in their index value. Whereas Materials and Energy are the top-losing sectors, losing 2.66% and 1.71% in their index value.

Paladin Energy Limited (ASX: PND) and Boss Energy Limited (ASX: BOE) are the top-gaining stocks, gaining 8.209% and 6.832% in their stock prices. On the other hand, Light & Wonder Inc. (ASX: LNW) and Tabcorp Holdings Limited (ASX: TAH) went down by 17.775% and 4.892% respectively are the top-losing stocks.
