ASX/200 Closed Higher by 0.79%, Lifted by A-REIT

By the end of the trading session on 27 May 2024, the benchmark index S&P/ASX 200 ended higher by 0.79% and settled at 7,788.30.  Out of 11 sectors, 10 closed higher along with the ASX 200.

A-REIT and Telecommunications Services 1.64% and 1.36% sectors were the top-gaining sector,  gaining 1.64% and 1.36% respectively in their index values.  Energy  were the top-lossing sector, lossing 0.23% respectively in their index values. 

Nueren Pharmaceuticals Limited (ASX: NEU) and Lendlease Group Limited (ASX: LLC) are the top-gaining stocks, gaining 15.741% and 7.979% in their stock prices. On the other hand, Audinate Group Limited (ASX: AD8) and Nickel Industrials Limited (ASX: NIC) are the top-losing stocks and are declining by 6.441% and 6.031% in their stock prices.

• The Dow closed up 0.01%, the S&P 500 rose 0.70%, and the NASDAQ gained 1.10%.
• The Hang Seng index increased by 1.28%, while the FTSE 100 decreased by 0.26%.
