ASX/200 Closed Higher by 0.56%, Lifted by Healthcare

By the end of the trading session on 03 December 2024, the benchmark index S&P/ASX 200 closed higher by 0.56% and settled at 8,495.20. Out of 11 sectors, 09 sectors ended higher along with the S&P/ASX 200.

Healthcare and Consumer Discretionary are the top-gaining sectors, gaining 1.15% and 1.05% in their index value. On the other hand, Utilities and Materials are the top-losing sectors, losing 0.51% and 0.05% in their index value.

Metcash Limited (ASX: MTS) and The Star Entertainment Group Limited (ASX: SGR) are the top-gaining stocks, gaining 7.523% and 7.142% in their stock prices. On the other hand, Collins Foods Limited (ASX: CKF) and Web Travel Group Limited (ASX: WEB) went down by 4.293% and 4.167% respectively are the top-losing stocks.
