By the end of the trading session on 05 February 2025, the benchmark index S&P/ASX 200 closed higher by 0.51% and settled at 8,416.90. Out of 11 sectors, 08 ended higher along with the S&P/ASX 200.

Materials and Information Technology are the top-gaining sectors, gaining 1.61% and 1.56% % in their index value. On the other hand, Healthcare and Consumer Staples are the top-losing sectors, losing 0.55% and 0.10%

Clarity Pharmaceuticals Limited (ASX: CU6) and Insignia Financial Limited (ASX: IFL) are the top-gaining stocks, gaining 10.112% and 6.944% in their stock prices. On the other hand, Block Inc. (ASX: XYZ) and Macquire Group Limited (ASX: MQG) went down by 3.981% and 3.630% respectively are the top-losing stocks.
