By the end of the trading session on 14 January 2025, the benchmark index S&P/ASX 200 closed higher by 0.48% and settled at 8,231.00. Out of 11 sectors, 08 sectors ended higher along with the S&P/ASX 200.

Materials and Energy are the top-gaining sectors, gaining 1.51% and 1.17% in their index value. On the other hand, Information Technology and Financial are the top-losing sectors, losing 0.49% and 0.02% in their index value.

Ingenia Communities Group (ASX: INA) and The Star Entertainment Limited (ASX: SGR) are the top-gaining stocks, gaining 15.044% and 12.000% in their stock prices. On the other hand, Life360 Inc. (ASX: 360) and West African Resources Limited (ASX: WAF) went down by 3.961% and 2.493% respectively are the top-losing stocks.
