ASX/200 Closed Higher by 0.43%, Lifted by Materials

By the end of the trading session on 10 October 2024, the benchmark index S&P/ASX 200 closed higher by 0.43% and settled at 8,223.00. Out of 11 sectors, 06 sectors ended higher along with the S&P/ASX 200.

Materials and Energy are the top- gaining sectors, gaining 1.62% and 0.98% in their index value. Whereas, Utilities and Healthcare are the top-losing sectors, losing 0.86% and 0.28% in their index value.

Arcadium Lithium Limited (ASX: LTM) and Mineral Resources Limited (ASX: MIN) are the top-gaining stocks, gaining 38.747% and 6.758% in their stock prices. On the other hand, Fletcher Building Limited  (ASX: FBU) and Ansell Limited (ASX: ANN) went down by 2.431% and 2.198% respectively are the top-losing stocks.
