ASX/200 Closed Higher by 0.28%, Lifted by A-REIT

By the end of the trading session on 25 November 2024, the benchmark index S&P/ASX 200 closed higher by 0.28% and settled at 8,417.60. Out of 11 sectors, 07 sectors ended higher along with the S&P/ASX 200.

A-REIT and Healthcare are the top-gaining sectors, gaining 1.59% and 1.34% in their index value. On the other the hand, Utilities and Material is the top-losing sectors, losing 1.06% and 0.24% in their index value.

Zip Co Limited (ASX: ZIP) and Guzman Y Gomez Limited (ASX: GYG) are the top-gaining stocks, gaining 4.361% and 4.268% in their stock prices. On the other hand, Tabcorp Holdings Limited (ASX: TAH) and Bellevue Gold Limited (ASX: BGL) went down by 5.608% and 4.075% respectively are the top-losing stocks.

  • Crude oil prices remained near two-week highs on Monday, reflecting last week’s 6% gains. Rising geopolitical tensions between Western nations and oil producers Russia and Iran have heightened concerns about potential supply disruptions.
  • The Dow Jones closed 0.97% higher, the S&P 500 rose by 0.35%, and the NASDAQ edged up 0.16%.
  • Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index dropped by 1.89%, while the UK’s FTSE 100 advanced by 1.38%.
