By the end of the trading session on 10 March 2025, the benchmark index S&P/ASX 200 closed higher by 0.18% and settled at 7,962.30. Out of 11 sectors, 07 sectors ended higher along with the S&P/ASX 200.

Energy and Materials the top-gaining sector gaining 1.50% and 0.89% in their index value. On the other hand, Telecommunications Services and Healthcare are the top-losing sectors losing 0.73% and 0.58% in their index value.

Polynovo Limited (ASX: PNV) and Beach Energy Limited (ASX: BPT) are the top-gaining stocks, gaining 4.583% and 4.089% in their stock prices. On the other hand, Johns Lyng Group Limited (ASX: JLG) and Insignia Financial Limited (ASX: IFL) went down by 12.500% and 4.274% respectively are the top-losing stocks.

  • On Wall Street, the Dow Jones gained 0.52%, the S&P 500 rose 0.55%, and the NASDAQ advanced 0.70% by market close.
  • In global markets, the Hang Seng Index is down 2.39%, while the FTSE 100 edged lower by 0.03% today.
