ASX/200 Closed Higher by 0.18%, Lifted by Consumer Staples

By the end of the trading session on 18 November 2024, the benchmark index S&P/ASX 200 closed higher by 0.18% and settled at 8,300.20. Out of 11 sectors, 06 sectors ended higher along with the S&P/ASX 200.

Consumer Staples and Utilities are the top-gaining sectors, gaining 1.95% and 1.82% in their index value. On the other hand Healthcare and Information Technology are the top-losing sectors, losing 0.88% and 0.79% in their index value.

Boss Energy Limited (ASX: BOE) and Deep Yellow Limited (ASX: DYL) are the top-gaining stocks, gaining 7.342% and 7.017% in their stock prices. On the other hand, Life360 Inc. (ASX: 360) and Neuren Pharmaceuticals Limited (ASX: NEU) went down by 6.726% and 6.464% respectively are the top-losing stocks.
