ASX/200 Closed Higher by 0.13%, Lifted by Consumer Staples

By the end of the trading session on 23 October 2024, the benchmark index S&P/ASX 200 closed higher by 0.13% and settled at 8,216.00. Out of 11 sectors, 07 sectors ended higher along with the S&P/ASX 200.

Consumer Staples and Consumer Dicretionary are the top-losing sectors, losing 1.33% and 0.44% in their index value. On the other hand, Information Technology and Energy are the top-losing sectors, losing 0.99% and 0.75% in their index value.

Qantas Airways Limited (ASX: QAN) and Bellevue Gold Limited (ASX: BGL) are the top-gaining stocks, gaining 3.439% and 3.184% in their stock prices. On the other hand, Mineral Resources Limited  (ASX: MIN) and Audinate Group Limited  (ASX: AD8) went down by 4.965% and 4.353% respectively are the top-losing stocks.
