ASX/200 Closed Higher by 0.12%, Lifted by Information Technology

By the end of the trading session on 28 October 2024, the benchmark index S&P/ASX 200 closed higher by 0.12% and settled at 8,221.50. Out of the 11 sectors, 06 sectors ended higher along with the S&P/ASX 200.

Information Technology and Consumer Discretionary are the top-losing sectors, losing 1.97% and 0.97% in their index value. On the other hand, Utilities and A-REIT are the top-losing sectors, losing 0.59% and 0.58% in their index value.

Zip Co Limited (ASX: ZIP) and Whitehaven Coal Limited (ASX: WHC) are the top-gaining stocks, gaining 3.717% and 3.709% in their stock prices. On the other hand, Paladin Energy Limted (ASX: PDN) and Boss Energy Limited (ASX: BOE)  went down by 15.291% and 5.802% respectively are the top-losing stocks.
